Hey all …i hv got  IIT-Bombay  through  GATE-2011 CS….i have few suggestions and tips for all next year aspirants…1) please use standard books only…

2) don’t change the books or dont use multiple books as it may create confusion because of change in language only…if u think u are too good in concepts then only use multiple books for a subject…

3) rather than completing the course one time please complete the course more number of time…i hv completed my course 6 times in 3 months(provided you are a conceptual learner and already finish all your ground work at least one time ) …like first finish everything in 1 month then in 20 days..then in 15 days..then in 10 days…and at last finish everything in just 2 days…just make a pyramid kind of thing…because it is said ” Karat karat abhyaas te jadmati hot sujaan”

4) prepare your own will help u a lot…start making it from today only…one day it will be a book…i was making it since last 1 year slowly slowly and now its a whole book for gate…

5) i don’t think coaching is required…but if u feel u wont be able to takeout sometime for study then surely invest in it, it will definitely help…well i didnot had problem in continuous study so i didnt try any coaching…

6) Refer some standard coaching correspondence material for questions only along with last 15 years Gate papers…it will help …

7) Try standard questions with which are having standard and authentic answer…

8) if u think quest is very difficult just hold the pen and keep trying…i solved two 2 marks quest because of this…

9) internet is the best resource but remember it may or may not be authentic…even wikipedia info is not authentic….

10) you may repeat the quests which u r solving after some time..they are just for practice… i solved whole notes & materials 3 times…

11) try more and more numericals…

12) dont waste your time by asking quest from your friend…search the solution by yourself…

13) be prepare for silly mistakes it happens with everybody…you can only minimize them…i attempted 81 marks paper and i hv got 75 marks….i was expecting 80% accuracy by marks…but i hv got 92% accuracy…that is only because of i was very carefull…i started my preparation on 12 Nov 2010 just after diwali..and have given…10-12 hrs per day without any coaching…because of some family problem i cudnt give time for 20 days…so i think 3 months are well enough for GATE…and remember very important thing…there is NO shortcut of success….

for making notes….if u feel a perticular quest is solved by a trick or by a gud concept only then note down that concept or trick…note down exceptions only to make short notes this will help…and about the books

i have followed all standard books like Korth for DBMS, galvin for OS, Forouzan for networking, Lipchuz and narsing deo and wikipedia for DS, pankaj jalote for SE, william staling for CO, morris mano for Digital logic, and best book for TOC…KLP mishra…i will suggest not to change the books specially wen exam is near…

 Thanks All.

I and my buddies came looking at the good secrets located on the blog while unexpectedly I got a terrible suspicion I had not expressed respect to the web blog owner for those tips. The young boys are actually glad to study them and have pretty much been making the most of these things. I appreciate you for getting simply kind and for opting for varieties of terrific ideas millions of individuals are really desperate to learn about. My very own honest regret for not saying thanks to sooner.
